As reported by the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, the fleet of patrol cars serving the Lower Silesian garrison has grown by another three highly specialised vehicles. Officers: – These are patrol cars intended for the Road Technology and Ecology Team, which will be assigned to traffic officers from Bolesławiec, Świdnica and Złotoryja. The new patrol cars are Volkswagen Crafter vans with 177 HP.
The van, which together with its equipment costs PLN 595,000, has already been delivered to the City of Ceramics.
Lower Silesian officers:
Thanks to their additional equipment, the modern vans are “mobile diagnostic stations”, and officers will use them mainly when checking the technical condition of vehicles. The equipment in these patrol cars includes, among other things, a smoke meter, a decelerometer, an exhaust-gas analyser and a device for measuring light transmittance, as well as a complete set of road signs and warning lights needed at the site of an inspection, and a road spike strip.
They add: The office section of the vehicle will also ensure a high level of comfort for the officers. A multifunction printer, computer and camera are just some of the many pieces of equipment that make it easier for officers to work at the site of a roadside inspection.
And they add:
The Lower Silesian Police fleet is steadily being expanded with more new vehicles. The cars purchased will undoubtedly provide significant technical support to officers who work every day to ensure our safety on the roads of Lower Silesia. At the same time, they will increase officers’ safety while they carry out their duties and improve their working conditions.
