The incident occurred on Thursday, 3 August, on Kilińskiego Street in Bolesławiec. A man who was heading to his allotment noticed that a gas cylinder was on fire next to an abandoned car.
The allotment holder notified the firefighters. They extinguished the fire and cooled the cylinder. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The car next to which the burning cylinder stood is probably used by homeless people.
The uniformed officers’ intervention was fully justified, as there was a risk that the cylinder would explode, and other cars and a residential block were located nearby.
