Pursuant to Order No. 249 of the Governor of Lower Silesia dated July 27, 2023, concerning the conduct of a training exercise for the early warning system in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship on August 1, 2023, a training exercise was conducted throughout the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
As part of the early warning system training exercise, at 5:00 p.m. an acoustic signal lasting one minute was broadcast using all available warning sirens. The acoustic signal broadcast during the training exercise also commemorated the 79th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising.
In Bolesławiec, the Warsaw Uprising insurgents were traditionally commemorated in front of the Polish Fighting Forces Anchor located on the defensive walls (on Kubika Street). The ceremony was attended, among others, by local authorities, councilors, scouts, the military and Zagłębie Lubin supporters.
