Nurses and midwives from Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Bolesławcu strive to make nursing a modern and attractive profession with a humanitarian mission. Therefore, together with the management of the county hospital, they are organizing the conference “New Challenges in Nursing and Midwifery. Nursing Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” which will be held on 24–25 September at Motel Prnjavor.
“We focus on the high quality of services provided, respect for patients’ rights and the continuous training of nursing staff,” say the conference organizers. “We believe that nursing is a unique profession, highly valued by society, and that every nurse and midwife is an undisputed professional in the field of caregiving. Therefore, we continually undertake activities aimed at integrating the nursing and midwifery communities, improving qualifications and enhancing the quality of patient care.

- Nurses’ professional autonomy versus an auxiliary occupation; dealing with problems by promoting the concept of professional boundaries; defining the precise scope of competencies and duties; developing an assertive attitude
