The officers recited the words of the oath during yesterday’s ceremony, which this time was held at the Centrum Historii Zajezdnia on Grabiszyńska Street in Wrocław. – The oath-taking ceremony began with the ceremony commander, junior inspector Remigiusz Sawicki, commander of the Police Prevention Unit in Wrocław, reporting to Police Regional Commander in Wrocław, Police Inspector General Dariusz Wesołowski. Appropriate commands and signals were then given to raise the Polish flag, so that everyone could sing the anthem of the Republic of Poland together and proceed to the highlight of the ceremony: the oath-taking by the young police officers – reports staff sergeant Łukasz Dutkowiak, press officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
He adds: – Once the words of the oath had been spoken, the officers were presented with their oath certificates, which they had the honour of receiving from the Police Regional Commander in Wrocław, Police Inspector General Dariusz Wesołowski. After this part of the ceremony ended, it was time for commemorative speeches.
How many more police officers?

In total, the staffing of our garrison increased by 384 officers in 2022, and by another 100 new police officers in 2023. The July recruitment drive brought in 45 police officers in total, including 15 women. After completing their basic training, all of them will go to their respective home units, including: 6 officers to Wrocław, 4 to Wałbrzych, 3 to Oleśnica, and 2 to Bolesławiec, Kamienna Góra, Lubin, Lwówek Śląski and Milicz each, as well as 1 each to Dzierżoniów, Jelenia Góra, Głogów, Kłodzko, Legnica, Strzelin, Świdnica, Środa Śląska, Trzebnica, Wołów and Zgorzelec. Some of the young officers will also serve in the Police Prevention Unit in Wrocław and the Independent Police Prevention Subunit in Legnica.
