The incident occurred on Monday, 10 July, near Nowogrodziec, by the cemetery on the road out toward Bolesławiec. After 12:00, two vehicles collided: a truck transporting wood and a Renault passenger car. Police established that a 44-year-old resident of Zielona Góra had pulled out from a minor road and hit the truck. Unfortunately, he died.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, the driver was unconscious and trapped in the vehicle. His condition was serious.
Two ambulances and three fire service units were at the scene.
Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
