On 28 August, a fourth-round match between GKS Warta Bolesławiecka and Czarni Lwówek took place at the stadium in Lwówek Śląski. The match was played on a wet and muddy pitch. Warta could have taken the lead as early as the 15th minute. However, after Krzysztof Janowski’s header, the ball went wide of the post. In the 23rd minute, the first goal for the visitors was scored by Mateusz Mucha, making his debut in GKS colours. The goal came after the ball was crossed into the penalty area from approximately 45 metres. The passive attitude of the home goalkeeper and defenders resulted in a goal for the visitors. In the 28th minute, GKS were already 2–0 ahead. Krzysztof Janowski increased the lead, taking advantage of a mistake by the defenders from Lwówek. In the 40th minute, the referee awarded a free kick to Czarni. Wrona’s shot went wide of Warta’s goal.

In the second half, the players from Lwówek Śląski launched sustained attacks on Leszek Kupczak’s goal. In the 49th minute, a very dangerous shot went wide of the visitors’ goal. In the 69th minute, Marek Spychalski shot at Czarni’s goal, but the home goalkeeper was not caught off guard. The hosts responded with an inaccurate shot by Wrona in the 76th minute. In the 91st minute, following a well-executed attack down GKS’s left flank and a cross by Adrian Kłodnicki, Marcin Kobelaszczuk’s shot went straight at the goalkeeper. After a difficult match, played in truly island-like weather on very challenging ground, the newcomer from Warta Bolesławiecka secured a valuable victory. After the referee’s final whistle, the players from Warta Bolesławiecka celebrated the win.
