Criminal investigators were working on a robbery that took place at the end of May. – According to the report, masked perpetrators entered one of the pubs in the Przylesie housing estate in Lubin, smashed the plexiglass barrier protecting and concealing the venue’s employee, using an object resembling an axe – reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer for the Lubin District Police Headquarters. – The suspects rendered the victim helpless and then stole PLN 550.
And she adds:
Operational findings by Lubin police led them as far as Świdnica County. During cooperation with local officers, the uniformed personnel quickly gathered evidence, which made it possible to carry out an operation aimed at detaining the perpetrators of the robbery.
In the early morning, officers from Lubin, together with police officers from the Independent Counter-Terrorist Subunit in Wrocław and uniformed officers from Świdnica, forcibly entered two apartments where, according to their findings, people suspected of this crime were staying.
The spokesperson adds:
During the operation, officers detained nine people. As there was a suspicion that the perpetrators might possess dangerous tools and drugs, service dogs were used. During searches of the premises occupied by the suspects, officers found balaclavas and clothing worn by the perpetrators during the robbery, as well as an air pistol and drugs.
Additionally, officers found and secured an axe and a balaclava in the car used by the detainees.
Three suspects – an 18-year-old woman and two men aged 25 and 31 – were charged. All are residents of Strzegom. The court ordered their temporary detention for three months. They face up to 12 years in prison.
The remaining people were released after questioning. The case is developing.
