– Last Wednesday, police officers from the Independent Police Prevention Subunit in Legnica, serving at the disposal of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, arrested an employee of one of the courier companies who was stealing parcels – reports junior asp. Anna Tersa of the Legnica police.

She explains:

The 25-year-old Legnica resident had been working in the courier company’s warehouse for several months. When complaints about undelivered parcels began to arrive, the company checked and found that all of them had passed through the 25-year-old’s scanner.

It turned out that instead of sending the parcels out for delivery, the 25-year-old hid them… under his vest. The spokesperson says: – His haul included mobile phones, electric shavers, a trimmer, a computer mouse and even vegan chocolate. The estimated losses amount to PLN 6,500.

She adds: – One of the stolen mobile phones, which the man had pawned at a pawnshop, has already been recovered by police officers.

What is more, the “enterprising” Legnica resident will also face charges over an act of vandalism. On May 9, he damaged a car by kicking it and hitting it with a stone outside one of the local supermarkets.

The man admitted guilt. He now faces up to five years in prison.
