On Sunday (15 August), the players of Warta Bolesławiecka and Raciborowice began their regional league season. A derby match between the newcomers and the experienced visiting side was held on the pitch in Warta. The match was an entertaining spectacle. The hosts began the game without any complexes. For the first quarter of an hour they had the advantage and took more shots at the Raciborowice goal. However, the players in white were inaccurate. The visitors attacked in the 20th minute. Following a cross into Warta’s penalty area, an own goal was scored. Under pressure from the visitors, Tomasz Hyjek intervened unsuccessfully and put the ball into his own net. Seven minutes later, Warta Bolesławiecka scored the equaliser. After a mistake by the visitors’ defence (the defenders had counted on an offside call) and a well-worked team move, Krzysztof Janowski put the ball into the net. In the 35th minute, Piotr Rodak produced a fine shot, but the Warta goalkeeper was on hand. The first half ended 1–1.
The visitors went on the attack in the second half. The Raciborowice coach made two substitutions. Adrian Kulesza came on for Mateusz Dudzic, while Radosław Wróblewski replaced Marcin Pitera. The visitors were creating more and more chances to score. In the 55th minute, Adrian Biały failed to take advantage of a good opportunity. In the 63rd minute, Piotr Rodak received a second yellow card (for handling the ball) and, consequently, a red card. From that moment, Raciborowice played with ten men. Despite being short-handed, the visitors attacked ambitiously. The hosts also had no intention of settling for a draw. In the 76th minute, the visitors had a good opportunity, but Kamil Ćwiak missed the goal in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. A moment later, Adrian Biały wasted a similar chance. In the 85th minute, the hosts scored following a corner. Marek Spychalski beat the Raciborowice goalkeeper. Two minutes later, the hosts could have made it 3–1, but the referee ruled that the goal had been scored from an offside position. The match ended with a 2–1 victory for Warta Bolesławiecka.
