Lca.pl reported that on Saturday, May 13, in the afternoon, children playing nearby found a child's body. The children did find a body, but it was not that of a child.
The gruesome discovery took place near the Kaczawa embankment on Konduktorska Street in Legnica. The press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor's Office in Legnica said that it was a woman's torso.
“The body found was the torso of a short, slim, middle-aged woman,” spokesperson Lidia Tkaczyszyn said. “The autopsy is still under way, and more can be said only after it has been completed,” the prosecutor added.
The autopsy is intended to establish the cause of death. In the interests of the investigation, the prosecutor's office is not disclosing whether the torso was brought to the place where it was found or whether the murder took place there, nor what mutilations were inflicted on the torso.
