Bolesławiec police sum up the May holiday weekend:

On 29 April to 3 May, Bolesławiec police officers carried out more than 250 interventions, some of which concerned family disputes. The officers checked 164 vehicles and arrested 11 people who had committed offences in the act.

On Saturday, 2 intoxicated drivers were arrested:

  • In Bolesławiec, a 27-year-old driver had 1.3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
  • Meanwhile, in the Gromadka municipality, an intoxicated truck driver hit another lorry while making a turn. The perpetrator of the collision had more than 2 per mille.

That same day, community police officers arrested a 27-year-old woman who sat behind the wheel while under the influence of narcotics. In addition, police officers from Bolesławiec County conducted an evening search for an elderly woman who had become lost in the forest. The woman was found.

In the following days, police officers arrested the perpetrator of an assault against his mother. A man suspected of physically and mentally abusing his wife was also taken into police custody. During a check of the 27-year-old, community police officers found narcotics in the form of methamphetamine. Meanwhile, criminal investigators arrested a 36-year-old man from Bolesławiec who has a prison sentence to serve for theft.

On 3 May, officers from Nowogrodziec arrested a 28-year-old man who was driving with almost 1 per mille of alcohol in his system, as well as the perpetrator of aggression against his ex-wife; in Bolesławiec, a driver subject to a court-ordered driving ban was caught.

During the long weekend, 15 collisions and one road accident occurred on the roads of Bolesławiec County. A 26-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and left the road. She was taken to hospital in serious condition.
