On Monday, 1 May, after 6:00 p.m., a woman with an almost 40-degree fever arrived at the Emergency Department in Bolesławiec. The woman’s brother wrote in a message to the editorial office:

“The woman at the Emergency Department said that no one would admit her because there was no doctor that day. She told her to go to her family doctor the next day. So much money is being poured into the hospital, and a person is told that they won’t help because there is no doctor today.”

The following day, the woman went to her family doctor, who, according to the reader, immediately referred her to the hospital.

We have been waiting for any response from the hospital since 2 May. As of today (10 May), at 2:00 p.m., we had not received a response, despite assurances that we would receive one on 9 May and numerous attempts to obtain it. Most of the staff, including the patient affairs specialist, were on leave during the period of the so-called “May long weekend.”
