The blues mass will begin on 12 August (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. in Bolesławiec, at the church in the Kwiatowe housing estate. Every day during the workshops, rehearsals for the mass are being held. – The workshop participants are preparing the entire service, says Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut, a workshop lecturer leading the rehearsals. – The lecturers will perform their own pieces before and after the mass. Musically, we will sing religious songs in gospel and blues arrangements. There will also be authentic American gospel, which, with all due respect to the Polish variety, is nevertheless the best.
This year, Krystyna Prońko, who has to leave for professional reasons, will be replaced by Ewa Uryga. She will be accompanied by Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut and Jacek Sieciarek. After the mass, there will be a concert by Ewa Uryga. She is an artist who belongs to the elite of Polish vocalists. Her voice is distinguished by its wide range and great power. She is a vocalist who cannot be confined to a single category. She sings in jazz, soul, blues and gospel styles. Admission to the concert is free. The organizers of the Blues nad Bobrem Festival invite all residents of Bolesławiec to this exceptional musical event.
