Thanks to the new offer, passengers can change trains without limits at weekends and thus discover the attractions of Lower Silesia. As part of the joint ticket, passengers can choose connections from the extensive services offered by carriers operating in Lower Silesia. Trains reach popular and highly attractive tourist destinations, including the Owl Mountains, the Table Mountains and the Karkonosze Mountains. The offer is intended for people who enjoy relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is an excellent opportunity to discover beautiful areas and monuments without straining one’s wallet.

– Passengers can plan their journey without wondering whether they have a ticket for the appropriate carrier’s train. The new offer makes it possible to travel to Szklarska Poręba by Polregio train and return by Koleje Dolnośląskie. This is a great convenience and saving for travellers – says Bartosz Jungiewicz, commercial director of Koleje Dolnośląskie.

From 21 April, the Lower Silesian Weekend Ticket will replace Koleje Dolnośląskie’s previous offer – Weekend with KD. Passengers will benefit from the change, receiving more connections for the same price. The joint ticket issued by the two carriers costs PLN 59.

– We try to focus primarily on passenger comfort. Another attractive offer is the KD Monthly Network Ticket, which has been accepted by Polregio since 17 April. As Koleje Dolnośląskie, we cooperate with Polregio in many areas, conduct reciprocal sales at ticket offices and in our online shop, and recently launched the option of purchasing KD tickets at Polregio video ticket machines – Jungiewicz adds.

The Lower Silesian Weekend Ticket is valid from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday. The ticket is issued in the passenger’s name – during inspection, passengers must show an identity document; they may also use the mObywatel app.

In a week, the Lower Silesian Weekend Ticket will be valid for longer – until 6 a.m. on 2 May.

– Every year we break records for the number of passengers carried, because in Lower Silesia the rail offer is used not only by people commuting daily to school or work, but also by tourists. Thanks to cooperation with Polregio, the Lower Silesian Weekend Ticket will cover the entire Lower Silesian Voivodeship. We hope that this will encourage even more people to use the offer – said Bartłomiej Rodak, press spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie.

Details of the offer are available on the Koleje Dolnośląskie website.
