The incident occurred on Friday, 6 August. At 10:40 p.m., three young men destroyed a newly installed lamp on the terrace of the restaurant that will operate at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre. Catching the perpetrators should not be a problem. The area around the facility is monitored, and the footage from the cameras is recorded. Therefore, BOK-MCC employees know exactly what time the act of vandalism occurred.
The uniformed officers will now deal with the case. Acts of vandalism are classified either as an offence (if the value of the damage is less than PLN 250) or as a crime. If it turns out that repairing the lamp will cost more than PLN 250, the vandals could face up to five years in prison.
