Before the April session of the Bolesławiec County Council began, councillor Jan Russ from Wolny Bolesławiec took the floor:
I would like to propose that a resolution on the good name of John Paul II be placed on the agenda. Many local governments are adopting such resolutions, speaking out about this defamation.
The local government official and former Law and Justice councillor also submitted a corresponding draft resolution.
The resolution was adopted with 16 votes in favour. Five councillors did not take part in the vote.
