The small Bobrzyca River burst its banks and flooded households in Raciborowice Górne. For the residents of this village, the fight against the water began on Friday night. At least dozens of households have been affected by the flood. Water flooded basements and rooms located on the ground floors of buildings. Firefighters and village residents are taking part in the rescue operation. Firefighters are pumping water out of basements, utility rooms and living quarters. In many places at risk of flooding, people are laying sandbags. The most difficult situation is in buildings located closest to the river. Heavy rainfall is causing water to flow down from the surrounding fields.
Residents of Raciborowice Dolne are also anxiously watching the high level of the Bobrzyca. The river is flowing through its entire channel. Green areas and properties located closest to the current have been inundated. Everyone hopes that the rain will stop and the water level will begin to fall. More photos and video material soon.
