The controversial case involving the husband of Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Elżbieta Witek continues. As reported by Radio ZET:
(...) On April 7, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legnica decided to refuse to open an investigation into the abuse of powers by staff at the Regional Specialist Hospital in Legnica. However, the prosecutor’s office did not recognize the deceased patient’s daughter as an injured party in the case, thereby depriving her of the possibility of appealing the decision to a court. Speaker Elżbieta Witek has issued a statement.
