The Klekusiowo Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki is a unique refuge for all kinds of animals in need of help. This is where injured, sick and often abandoned animals end up. Klekusiowo rushes to their aid, but it also needs help itself. The expenses of the centre, which is sustained solely by donations and the help of other kind-hearted people, continue to grow...
For those who cannot visit Klekusiowo in person, the centre offers the opportunity to watch some of the animals live via online cameras.
Thanks to the money collected by the centre, you can also use the online camera to watch Bolesławiec’s swans on the town pond in Bolesławiec.
Returning to the sick animals, they are treated at the centre and released as soon as they recover. Unfortunately, some are so ill that they cannot return to the wild and must remain in Klekusiowo. These include storks that cannot fly, for which nests have been specially prepared on the ground. There are also roe deer whose limbs had to be amputated, as well as a swan without one wing and many, many other animals. On Klekusiowo’s Facebook profile, many stories of animals that have come to the centre are described.
As we read on Klekusiowo’s profile:
Our Centre urgently needs your support. We would like to inform you that we are not supported by our state, foundations, municipalities, etc. We are 99% sustained thanks to the help of donors and our own funds. Please help us save wild animals at Klekusiowo. The money will be used to maintain the Centre.
