During the April session of the Bolesławiec City Council, a new head of the Economic Development and Finance Committee of the Bolesławiec City Council was elected. The position went to the committee’s previous deputy head, Stanisław Wiącek from the Bezpartyjni i Ziemia Bolesławiecka councillors’ group.
The councillors adopted the resolution with 13 votes in favour.
The newly appointed chair will replace former councillor Dariusz Filistyński.
Let us recall. At the end of last year, we reported:
One of the items on the agenda of the December session of the Bolesławiec City Council was a vote on a draft resolution concerning the removal of a councillor from the position of Chair of the Economic Development and Finance Committee of the Bolesławiec City Council.
The document’s statement of reasons said: “On 6 December 2022, the Bezpartyjni i Ziemia Bolesławiecka Councillors’ Group submitted a motion to remove councillor Dariusz Filistyński from the position of Chair of the Economic Development and Finance Committee of the Bolesławiec City Council. In view of the above, adopting the resolution in question is justified.”
The head of the Bezpartyjni i Ziemia Bolesławiecka group, Łukasz Jaźwiec, argued at the time that the motion was related solely to the fact that councillor D. Filistyński had left the group in September.
The councillor concerned himself delivered a statement in which he said that he regarded the action “as a political decision”.
