– Lower Silesia is now one of the fastest-developing regions in the entire European Union. This is the result of effective cooperation between local governments at all levels, efficient spending of EU funds, and the exceptional entrepreneurship of Lower Silesia’s residents. I am convinced that the Lower Silesian Local Government Congress will once again create a space for exchanging experiences, while the partnerships established will make it possible to broaden knowledge and implement a range of new initiatives. This is particularly important in the context of the record PLN 11 billion in EU support that we have negotiated for the region for the coming years – says Marshal Cezary Przybylski of Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy.
The Lower Silesian Local Government Congress is a unique opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas concerning the functioning of local governments. This year’s edition will focus on the challenges facing local governments in the near future. These issues are extremely important, particularly in the context of the changing reality in our country and its immediate neighborhood.
Lower Silesia’s dynamic development is widely discussed in Poland. Many initiatives implemented by us serve as models subsequently used in other regions. These include a railway revitalization and reconnection project unprecedented on a national scale, as well as the purchase of the most modern trains for Koleje Dolnośląskie. This is why participants will focus on the most current topics during the congress debates. They will include discussions on the condition and importance of local government in the country’s development, the transport revolution, and the need for Lower Silesia’s energy transformation.
The discussions will be moderated by Agnieszka Gozdyra of the “Polsat News” television channel and Bogusław Chrabota, editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita”.
– Once again, Lower Silesia will become a center for discussion about the role and importance of local government. The Local Government Congress is an event that gains importance every year, and its prestige attracts outstanding guests from the worlds of politics, economics and the media. You are warmly invited! – says Agnieszka Gozdyra, Polsat News.
