As a result of negotiations between the company’s management and representatives of the trade unions operating at Koleje Dolnośląskie, wage increases effective from 1 June have been agreed. Drivers will receive PLN 600 gross more, while conductors’ team members and representatives of other professions will receive PLN 500 gross more.

“We are growing, and this would not be possible without the hard work of nearly one thousand Koleje Dolnośląskie employees. Our success would not be possible without them,” says Damian Stawikowski, President of the Management Board of Koleje Dolnośląskie. He emphasises that as the number of kilometres travelled increases every year, the company must increase its workforce, and that Koleje Dolnośląskie wants to be an attractive employer on the labour market.

In addition to the pay rises, conductors’ teams will receive higher allowances for tickets sold on board Koleje Dolnośląskie trains. Their commission will increase from PLN 0.70 to PLN 1 per ticket sold.

Following the pay rise, the average salary of a driver working at Koleje Dolnośląskie will exceed PLN 11,800 gross.

It is worth mentioning that the employer still has new positions available. Drivers are being sought, and the job offers include positions at the new service hall being built in Legnica on Pątnowska Street. This year, the company will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its existence. In 2023, it plans to carry 18 million passengers, travelling 12 million kilometres along the railway tracks.
