This is the second season with a bicycle carriage, which Koleje Dolnośląskie were the first railway operator in Poland to introduce. Its operation will be different than in 2022. Now the carriage can be used both at Sobótka station and Sobótka Zachodnia.
The cycling railway season – time to start!
“Many cyclists wanted to begin exploring the area around Sobótka at a station located closer to the centre. Following last year’s pilot, we already know that loading and unloading bicycles at the station does not take that much time, so we will introduce this option not only at Sobótka Zachodnia station,” says Bartłomiej Rodak, press spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie.
This is not the end of the attractions for cyclists. Koleje Dolnośląskie are also launching special additional trains to the heart of the Barycz Valley: at weekends, a train will depart from Wrocław for Milicz. At 9:03, we can set off from Wrocław Główny on a train to Milicz. The return? At 18:58 from Milicz station. The services will run from 29 April on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
We will travel to Adršpach from 8 June
At the beginning of June, seasonal services from Wrocław to Adršpach will return. From the capital of Lower Silesia, we will be able to travel to Czechia on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The Sprinter “Skalne Miasto” will leave Wrocław at 7:51, while the Sprinter “Pełcznica” will depart at 15:41. Trains from Adršpach to Wrocław will leave at 10:45 and 18:45. Importantly, when purchasing “there and back” tickets, the ticket is valid for two days, meaning that you can travel to Adršpach on Saturday and return on the next train on Sunday.
“Trains to Czechia’s Adršpach and Skalne Miasto have attracted considerable interest from the very beginning. From June, passengers will once again be able to reach this attraction, which is located just beyond our southern border. However, please remember—as the Czech operators of this attraction remind us—to purchase tickets both to Skalne Miasto and for the rail services themselves online well in advance,” says Bartłomiej Rodak.
Other changes
Between 8 May and 11 June, replacement bus services will operate on the Kłodzko–Ścinawka Średnia section. Please pay attention to announcements and information at stations: some buses will run along the entire Kłodzko Miasto–Wałbrzych section.
The Rokitki–Leszno Górne section will also be closed from 27 to 31 March. Some replacement services will operate from Chocianów station. Replacement bus services will also operate on the Jawor–Przybyłowice section from 8 to 15 May.
Among other changes, the Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce stop will be renamed Polana Jakuszycka.
Many trains have had their departure times changed slightly. Passengers are asked to check the timetable in force from 12 March; timetables are available, among other places, on the kolejedolnoslaskie.pl.
