Today, while out for a walk, I noticed that I had lost something important to me—an actual piece of history and some kind of strange connection with nature. I had often gone to see how the old fellow was holding up, but unfortunately today I saw that he was lying on the ground. It made me sad, as if I had lost someone important who remembered the partitions of Poland, the two world wars and Poland’s last king. It is the over 250-year-old Wizun oak. Lying in the park in Trzebień, it was a natural monument.
The monumental “Wizun” oak grew in the southern part of the park, on an earthen embankment.
