Let us recall that on March 3, we received a report from a reader about inconveniences related to roadworks on Gdańska Street in Bolesławiec.

Hello. I have a request for a report on the roadworks being carried out on Gdańska Street. Today, while driving along Gdańska Street, I was surprised that the company laying the new pavement was occupying two traffic lanes and the sidewalk on the opposite side. After calling the municipal police, the officer on duty stated that they had permission to occupy one traffic lane. Okay, but not two lanes and the sidewalk, and there should be traffic lights to enable alternating traffic.
Tadeusz Prochownik, deputy manager and chief road specialist, County Roads Authority in Bolesławiec:
Good morning
We kindly inform you that the works on Gdańska Street are being carried out in accordance with the approved temporary traffic organization for the duration of the works—alternating traffic. The approved traffic organization provides for a ban on parking vehicles along the roadway of Gdańska Street; however, in agreement with the contractor, it was decided that if the works do not interfere with parked vehicles, the parking area will not be closed to use.
The County Roads Authority also informs that, as of March 14, 2023, milling of the surface of Gdańska Street and works related to laying bituminous layers are planned. Consequently, it will not be possible to park vehicles alongside the renovated section of Gdańska Street. At the same time, we ask drivers to choose other alternative routes, such as Warszawska or Kwiatowa.
Regards.
