A police officer from the investigative department of the Jawor police headquarters charged a 46-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County with misappropriation of property. – According to investigators’ findings, some time ago a resident of Jawor County handed the 46-year-old a Mercedes passenger car so that he could repair it. The suspect, who turned out to be an acquaintance of the injured party, took advantage of being entrusted with the vehicle, but had no intention of repairing it at all and simply intended to sell it – explains Asp. Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The dishonest 46-year-old, who also had possession of the Mercedes documents, sold the vehicle in question without the owner’s consent or knowledge.
That was not the end of it. Our fellow countryman cut off contact with the Mercedes owner and did everything he could to avoid confronting both the injured party and the police officers.
It did not help much. The 46-year-old was charged with misappropriating property worth PLN 25,000. And since he is a repeat offender, he faces up to seven and a half years in prison.
