Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn arrested the perpetrator of the theft of five beehives and two stands as a result of operational activities. Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters:
The suspect stole the modern modular homes for bees under cover of night. The 35-year-old transported his loot by bicycle with a trailer. The value of the losses was estimated at nearly PLN 3,000.
The officers added: – The beehives had no occupants, so the perpetrator quickly found someone willing to purchase the items for his apiary.
The police recovered all the stolen property. Since the arrested man is a repeat offender, he now faces a sentence of between three months and as much as seven and a half years in prison.
