Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski received a report of a crime that allegedly took place in mid-February this year in the town of Wleń. – Investigators established that two men allegedly attacked the victim, hitting him on the head and thereby rendering him defenseless. They then carried the unconscious man to one of the apartments, where they tied his hands and feet, depriving him of his freedom – reports junior aspirant Tomasz Nowak from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

And he adds:

This was not the end of the victim’s ordeal, but merely its beginning. Throughout the night, the perpetrators brutally abused him, beating him and pressing a heated iron against his body. The following day, the suspects ended the man’s torment by releasing him, while also threatening to take his and his partner’s life and harm their health. No one was to find out about what had happened the previous night.

That same day, after the report was received, criminal investigators from Lwówek Śląski identified and arrested two men suspected of the act. Junior aspirant T. Nowak said: – The actions taken by the investigators enabled them to gather sufficient evidence substantiating the likelihood that a crime had been committed to bring charges against the 44- and 42-year-old residents of Lwówek County. Additionally, during the investigation it emerged that the same perpetrators had also allegedly beaten one of the residents of Wleń and then stolen his mobile phone.

At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lwówek Śląski, the court remanded the aggressors in custody for three months. They now face up to 10 years in prison.
