In the report Tied the dog up with cables and abandoned her in a grove. Injured animal rescued, we wrote that on Saturday [February 18 – editor’s note], a woman found an injured dog in a grove between Bolesławiec and Rakowice. The animal was lying by the road, with cables wrapped around her neck and open wounds on her back.
The woman who found what later turned out to be the injured female dog Misia took her to a Municipal Police station.
According to Misia’s owner, when the dog was brought to the Municipal Police station, the officers with whom she had reported her missing had her phone number and called to inform her that a dog matching the description was at the station. That is how Misia went straight back to her owner and her own home.
The dog is doing much better; the wound on her back has already healed. Misia is still distrustful, but she is safe now. We visited her at home, and she can be seen in the video.
The dog’s owner was deeply affected by the hate that poured into the comments below the article, which, in her view, was unfairly directed at her.
“I’m afraid to leave the house when I read what they write,” the woman says. “My dog had gone missing, and I was looking for her. I even reported her disappearance to the Municipal Police and posted information on social media. When the Municipal Police called, we went to the veterinarian immediately. Now the dog is being looked after,” the woman adds.
We visited Misia shortly before her daily evening walk. She is a cheerful, kind and friendly dog, and it is difficult to comprehend who could have harmed her so cruelly. Great praise is due to the woman who found Misia, who certainly saved the dog’s life.
