The incident occurred on Tuesday, 13 July. Police officers from Nowogrodziec received a report that a man who wanted to take his own life was standing on a bridge in Świętoszów. The patrol immediately went to the scene.
The man jumped. One of the officers, together with a passer-by, pulled the unconscious 26-year-old from the water and began resuscitation. Thanks to the swift intervention, tragedy was averted. The resident of Osiecznica municipality regained consciousness. He was taken to hospital.
