Both incidents took place on February 1. Komenda Powiatowa Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Bolesławcu:
The first incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m., when the duty officer at the PSP command center in Bolesławiec received a report about a man lying without vital signs at the PKP station in the town of Nowogrodziec.
The uniformed officers add:
Within a few minutes, a crew from the local OSP Nowogrodziec unit arrived at the scene and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation using a defibrillator.
Unfortunately, the emergency medical team that arrived at the scene pronounced the man dead.
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the case. As we have established, investigators initially ruled out the involvement of third parties.
Firefighters from Nowogrodziec on the incident
The second intervention took place in the evening, at around 8:20 p.m., in the town of Raciborowice. Firefighters from Bolesławiec:
(…) the gusts of wind caused a power outage. The deployment of crews from OSP and PSP units to two households was necessary to provide generator power for devices supporting the breathing of chronically ill people.
