The railway operator is once again joining the fundraising campaign for those in need. What is more, on the day of the finale (January 29), all WOŚP volunteers will be able to travel on KD trains free of charge.
Last Sunday, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity played for the 31st time. The aim and slogan of this year’s fundraiser is “We want to defeat sepsis! We play for everyone – young and old!” The money raised through the Orchestra will enable the purchase of modern equipment and systems used to prevent, monitor and treat sepsis. For yet another year, Koleje Dolnośląskie are joining these efforts.
Side by side with the train driver
– We invite railway enthusiasts and everyone else to take part in the auctions prepared by Koleje Dolnośląskie. They include two exceptional train rides in the driver’s cab, a three-hour training session in the simulator of an Impuls 45WE train, a unique painting depicting an SA139 vehicle—and a genuine rarity: paper editions of timetables, which we obtained from the KD archives especially for this occasion – says Bartłomiej Rodak, press spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie.
- Printed edition of the Official Working Timetable
- Lower Silesian Passenger Train Timetable
- Painting depicting the SA 139-011 KD vehicle
The opportunity to observe the work of train drivers and conductors is the greatest dream of many railway enthusiasts. The auction winners will have the chance to observe the railway route from the best seat on the train.

- Ride in the driver’s cab on the Legnica – Chocianów route via Chojnów
- 5 pairs of vouchers for a Weekend with KD, valid until the end of 2022
Drive a KD train
A three-hour training session in a train-driving simulator, of the type found in the Koleje Dolnośląskie fleet, is also available for auction. The device replicates the vehicle’s actual behavior and the effects of all forces acting on the driver. Inside the simulator is a realistic train cab and cockpit, a real 4K-quality image of railway routes and 3D technology.
All auctions organized by the regional operator are available on Allegro until February 12, 2023 in the Help with WOŚP section at
