Officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec Police unit detained a 39-year-old man who was wanted in connection with previously committed crimes and was taken straight to prison.

The suspect is well known to police officers and residents. “Bearded Man” walked around Bolesławiec and tried apartment door handles to check whether the doors were locked. If he managed to get inside, he stole wallets or money that was within reach. If he encountered someone after opening the door, he claimed he was looking for someone or asked for a glass of water.
In December, he stole a wallet from a restaurant. He was detained shortly after the incident, and a substantial portion of the money was recovered. In January this year, he entered a beauty salon and stole cash while an employee was talking to a client. The latest detention ended with the Bolesławiec County resident being taken to prison, where he will spend at least six months.
