The next stage of the investment is the comprehensive furnishing of the facility with furniture and the necessary equipment for educational activities, as well as various play accessories for preschoolers. In February this year, a tender for equipping the facility will be announced.
The newly built facility is intended for 150 children. As of September 1, 2023, it will be Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3. The existing Kindergarten No. 3, operating with one preschool group in the school building at 5 Ceramiczna Street, will change its location and contact details to 22 Narcyzów Street. The children from this preschool group will be guaranteed places at the newly built premises of the institution.
Within the structure of the new Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3, the groups at 42a Dolne Młyny Street will continue to operate, as a branch. Following the changes, the structure of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3 in Bolesławiec will be as follows:
- six groups at 22 Narcyzów Street,
- four groups at 42a Dolne Młyny Street.
It is worth recalling that the new kindergarten building at 22 Narcyzów Street will have six groups, each with full sanitary facilities, a meal distribution room, a small gym, a children’s cloakroom, a sensory room, and administrative and technical facilities. The building was designed to be energy-efficient and accessible to people with disabilities. The facility includes, among other things, low-temperature underfloor heating, heat pumps, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, a photovoltaic installation, triple-glazed windows, and a rainwater tank.
As part of the project, parking spaces, pavements, a service yard, and fencing were constructed. The property has a playground with safe surfacing and a recreation area naturally shaded by existing trees. The grounds are illuminated and monitored. The investment has so far cost more than PLN 6 million. The funds come from the Bolesławiec city budget.
