We were asked to publicize the matter by our Reader. In their opinion, the condition of the intersection of Zgorzelecka, Łokietka and Wesoła streets leaves much to be desired. It is dirty, and the pavements are overgrown with grass, which is particularly noticeable because Zgorzelecka is one of the most representative streets in Bolesławiec.

We tried to establish who was responsible for this situation. At the District Roads Authority, we were told that the intersection is administered by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. Joanna Wąsiel, spokesperson for GDDKiA, referred us to the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service. Meanwhile, Joanna Jarocka from DSDiK wrote to the editorial office: “on our behalf, in accordance with the signed agreement on the winter and summer maintenance of provincial roads, the Bolesławiec County should take care of clearing the area. We responded to your report and contacted the County. The matter should be resolved without delay.”

We contacted officials at the County Office. Once again, we were told that the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways was responsible for the intersection. As sometimes happens, there is no one to blame, and the mess remains exactly as it was.
