Officers from the Kruszyn Police Station, conducting activities concerning the felling and theft of trees from a forest, established that the previously arrested 45-year-old had an accomplice. The men committed the theft on the last day of 2022, causing losses worth more than PLN 4,000 to the forestry district.
It turned out that, in order to reach the forest, the 32-year-old violated a court driving ban.
At the time of his arrest by community police officers, he was also driving a vehicle. Therefore, in addition to the theft charge, he will also be held responsible for violating a lifelong court driving ban.
The resident of Gromadka Municipality faces up to five years in prison.
Police had previously established where the property originating from the crime was stored and recovered it.
