Wrocław traffic police carry out dozens of roadside checks every day. – One such check concerned the driver of a heavy goods vehicle who stopped briefly on the emergency lane of the A4 motorway – reports Aspirant Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – At one point, as soon as the 37-year-old opened the truck door, the reason for the stop became clear. The vehicle was filled with the characteristic smell of burning marijuana.

The police quickly located the source of the smell. It was a partly smoked joint. The spokeswoman said: – The driver admitted to the officers that it contained marijuana, a supply of which he was carrying in a glass jar found by the officers. The police and the detainee went to the nearest police station, where a drug test confirmed his statement.

As if that were not enough, the 37-year-old had already had his driving licence confiscated. For what? There will be no surprise here: for driving under the influence of narcotic substances.

Aspirant A. Pieprzycka: – Another driver drove the truck away, while the suspect ended the day in police custody. A court will now decide his fate.
