The First League European Cup Combined Events competition was held on 27 and 28 June in Hengelo, the Netherlands. The Polish national team also took part in the competition. One of the ten national-team athletes was Jacek Nabożny, from Bolesławiec, a graduate of MKS Bolesłavia, who currently trains in Wrocław - Jacek Nabożny. The first day of competition was very successful for the Poles (Dawid Pyra led, ahead of Krzysztof Plaskota and Jacek Nabożny). The Polish national team won the First League.
The excellent form of our athletes also enabled them to take second place in the Super League. Jacek Nabożny, with a total of 7,536 points, finished fifth in the individual classification. Unfortunately, this was not enough to achieve the qualifying standard that would have enabled him to compete at the European Championships in Barcelona.
