Someone stole a transformer, leaving nearly 200 lamps illuminating the Krzyżowa interchange, which connects the A4 and A18 motorways, unlit.
As reported by RMF FM:
The police are investigating the theft of the transformer, which was stolen during the holidays. The Wrocław branch of GDDKiA appeals to witnesses of road infrastructure thefts to report such incidents to the police or road authorities by calling the 24-hour helpline.
It is not yet known when the lamps will start working again. A new device must be purchased and commissioned to replace the stolen one. According to RMF FM, the cost could be as much as several tens of thousands of złoty.
