Officers from the Police Station in Chojnów intervened in the cases of two mothers who, while intoxicated, were caring for their children. The first incident occurred at around 8:00 a.m. Police officers received information that a 35-year-old resident of Chojnów, while intoxicated, was caring for her three-year-old son. The officers immediately went to the reported location. After checking the woman’s sobriety, it turned out that she had nearly 3 per mille of alcohol in her system! The child was placed in the care of his father.

The next intervention took place at around 7:30 p.m. The duty officer was informed that, in one of the apartments in Chojnów, a mother under the influence of alcohol was caring for two children. Police officers who went to the indicated address confirmed the report. It turned out that the 37-year-old woman was intoxicated. A breathalyzer test showed nearly 3 per mille of alcohol in her system. A 5-year-old and a 7-year-old were staying in the home with her.

Fortunately, the children were unharmed in both cases and were placed in the care of their closest relatives. Officers are now establishing all the circumstances of the incidents. The court will decide the women’s future.
