An officer from the Prevention Division of the District Police Headquarters, while shopping in his free time at one of the stores, noticed a passenger car in the parking lot. The driver got out of the vehicle—a young man casually holding a bottle of alcohol in his hand.
The irresponsible driver then got back into the car and tried to reverse. The police officer stepped into his path, showed his badge and demanded that the driver hand over his keys. The latter was very surprised but followed all the instructions.
The officer called a police patrol. And quite rightly so. As it turned out, the 21-year-old resident of Złotoryja County was drunk; a test showed 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system.
