The incident occurred on November 24. Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service:
(...) at approximately 12:55 p.m., the Control Post of the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service Commander received a report of a fire in a residential building in Suszki. The duty officer immediately dispatched three crews from JRG Bolesławiec and four crews from the volunteer fire departments in Warta Bolesławiecka, Ocice, Nowogrodziec and Stare Jaroszowice.

After the first crews arrived at the scene, firefighters found a fire in a residential building, with the entire roof engulfed in flames. The fire spread to the adjacent outbuilding. Six residents, including two children, left the building before the firefighters arrived.
Two people suffered burns to their hands and faces—the Emergency Medical Team provided assistance to the injured.
Four gas cylinders were carried out of the building, and the residents’ belongings were evacuated. A representative of Bolesławiec Municipality and an operations group from the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service Headquarters arrived at the scene. The rescue and firefighting operation lasted more than three and a half hours.
