The incident is said to have occurred at the beginning of November. In their comment, the reader wrote, among other things:

(...) Is it a coincidence, or some kind of failure, that the lamps have been switched off throughout the cemetery except for the main avenue? (...) With the lighting along the paths switched off, all kinds of obstacles were invisible, from barriers and parking blocks slightly above knee height, of which several have been installed in the middle of the paths, passageways and along the kerbs, to puddles and steps on the paths; the parking lot was dark, people were walking among circling cars in the darkness, and overall, a very dangerous atmosphere hung in the air.

The director of the Municipal Housing Management Authority in Bolesławiec, Kazimierz Łomotowski, informed us that the cemetery lighting operates in the same way as the municipal lighting because it is connected to it. In his opinion, the situation described by the reader may have been a coincidence. Nevertheless, the lighting certainly came on and everything is working as it should.
