She wrote to us Reader:
I am writing to you because I am outraged by the situation that happened to me yesterday (21 November) in the car park near PKP in Bolesławiec. My children were travelling by train on the Wrocław–Bolesławiec route, which was scheduled to arrive at Bolesławiec station at 5:10 p.m. The train was delayed, so the children asked me to come to the station to pick them up.
The little ones had something planned for 6:00 p.m.
The complainant continued:
I arrived at the station at 5:30 p.m. I did not get out of the car; the car was running the entire time, and I was standing on the road (parallel to the taxis – ed. istotne.pl). The train was already at the station.
She also added:
A woman immediately approached my car and began taking photographs. I got out of the car and asked what was going on. And I heard that she was issuing me a ticket. I told her that I was already leaving, as my children were already in the car. The woman did not care; she stood on the road in front of my car and continued taking photographs and issuing the ticket.
She also summed up:
My stay in front of PKP (on the road, not in the car park) lasted a maximum of five minutes in total. To me, this woman’s behaviour reached the height of absurdity. If I had gone to the parking meter to get a ticket, it would have taken longer. I am hugely outraged, and my children were also terrified by the behaviour of the woman, who was ready to jump onto the bonnet of the car before I drove away, just to issue me a ticket by force.
And she appealed:
A little more empathy from the car park manager and staff. If simply entering the PKP grounds involves a fee, inform the residents of Bolesławiec about it, because at present you only have information about a paid car park.
The complainant informed us that she had filed a complaint. We also asked the car park administrator about the matter. We are awaiting a response.
