Mariusz Paluch and Adrian Poznański and Michał Kunecki, members of the Street Team Bolesławiec club, organized a collection of plastic bottle caps for Nikola Osińska from Szprotawa, who suffers from a lymphatic malformation. We wrote about the ill girl here
On Saturday (June 19), at the Gamma Wholesale premises, members of the Street Team Bolesławiec club loaded the collected bottle caps onto a delivery van. “The bottle-cap collection lasted more than two months. We are happy that we managed to collect so many. There is a great deal of them,” says Adrian Poznański, unable to hide his joy. “No one counted them exactly, but I can say that one so-called bag contains 200 bottle caps, and we have almost filled an entire container,” Adrian continues.
The valuable cargo was transported to Żary. From there, it will be taken to a company near Kraków, which will weigh the bottle caps and pay the money. The money will go to Nikola. We will report how much was collected as soon as we know the amount.
Schools, preschools, companies and private individuals from Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec, Pieńsk, Bogatynia and Lubań took part in the bottle-cap collection. “We thank all people of good will who contributed to the collection. We thank the teachers, catechists and private individuals who collected and brought in the bottle caps,” says Mariusz Paluch, the initiator of the effort.
The organizers thank the members of the Street Team Bolesławiec club and everyone who spoke on the club’s online forum and helped with the effort. They also thank the employees of Kino Orzeł, the adults and children from Preschool No. 3, Lakiernia Kameleon and Hurtownia Unikat; the readers of Portal IstotneInformacje.pl; the printing house on Mickiewicza Street, which printed posters informing about the effort; Hurtownia Gamma, which provided a container for storing the bottle caps; and Termoder, which provided transportation for the bottle caps to Żary.
