The key point of the session was a presentation of the concept for constructing the second stage of the Bolesławiec bypass. The design assumptions were presented by Leszek Loch, director of the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service in Wrocław. It is worth recalling that construction of the Bolesławiec bypass was divided into stages. The first stage was completed in 2019. Work on the second stage began in 2020. The project involves expanding the existing road system. Its main objective is to route traffic outside built-up areas, taking military transport into account. Voivodeship road no. 297, which runs through Bolesławiec, will be replaced by the newly designed bypass.

The planned road will serve as Bolesławiec’s north-eastern bypass. The road is expected to begin in Łąka and end at the existing junction with national road no. 94 in Kruszyn. The planned road is approximately 6.27 km long. It will run through agricultural land and, in part, forested areas. Along its route, it will cross municipal and county roads as well as a railway line.

The project was included in the Government Roads Development Fund programme. The value of the project is PLN 64,635,472.20. The project will receive 60% funding, amounting to PLN 38,781,283.32; the own contribution is 40%, or PLN 25,854,188.88. The design work, together with obtaining the ZRID decision, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.

The joint session concluded with information and a discussion about the activities of the Rzeczpospolita Samorządna Association.
