Four couples celebrated their golden wedding anniversaries: Bożena and Wiktor Kumoszowie, Halina and Antoni Matusiewiczowie, Rozalia and Ryszard Niewiadomscy, Zofia and Eugeniusz Swendrowscy.
During the ceremony, the couples were honored with certificates and medals for long marital life, awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman presented the distinguished jubilarians with their decorations.
Family members, acquaintances and friends of the jubilarians attended the ceremony marking 50 years of marriage. The ceremony was enhanced by a concert performed by participants of the BOK-MCC workshop.
The Medal for Long Marital Life, established in 1960, is awarded to people who have spent 50 years in one marriage.
