Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters once again conducted intensified checks on the roads of our district this week.

The sobriety of nearly 650 drivers was checked. Two drivers were detained after getting behind the wheel and committing a crime.
A 29-year-old man from Legnica was driving with 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his system. Meanwhile, a 29-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County had 0.7 per mille and... had already had his driving licence suspended.
Driving while intoxicated is punishable by up to 2 years in prison.
