Joanna Opalska-Brzecka is a visual artist and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she studied Art and Ceramics Design. She currently works at her alma mater in the 2nd Artistic Ceramics Studio. In 2020, she obtained a doctoral degree in art. In her work, based on ceramic craftsmanship, she addresses issues that concern her, comments on reality and tells personal stories. She treats ceramics as a unique technique that enables the combination of tradition with contemporary forms of expression and narration. Her works have been presented at numerous exhibitions, including at the Porcelain Museum in Riga, Superstudio PIU PIU in Milan and the National Museum in Wrocław.
